Half Bath – One Room Challenge

May 7, 2020

So back at the beginning of March I took a leap of faith and signed up for the One Room Challenge even though I have never remodeled a room in my life. You only live once, right? For the next 8 weeks, I will be updating our half bath and sharing the entire process. Let’s get into some before pics…

Half Bath Before

This bathroom is pretty much a blank canvas. Yes, I did paint those walls a purple gray. I was going through a phase, don’t judge me. This pic was also taken before toilet paper was a scarce commodity. 😀

Here is the mood board I created a while back to show my inspiration for the half bath. The only change I’m making is that I will be doing board and batten instead of shiplap. Everything else will remain the same. I’m obsessed with that light fixture from Amazon! I will be linking all the products I use along the way.

I already made some progress back in April before the world came to a halt so this is my starting point today…

So far so good! The plan for the next week is to install the vanity top and start on the new sink and faucet install. I’ve done zero plumbing ever so I’m sure it is going to be quite the learning experience. I’m super excited about this project and happy you’re here to follow along!

Check back next week for more updates and be sure to follow @builditthrifty on Instagram where I will be posting more of the process on my stories!
