Can you believe we’re halfway through this One Room Challenge? It’s week 4 and I accomplished more than I expected on the dreamy guest room this week.
I started on the second and hopefully last layer of skim coating in preparation for the wallpaper. Skim coating is quite a bit of work but the wallpaper I am ordering is definitely worth the time. I’ll be measuring the walls soon and getting that ordered next week.
I cleaned and prepped the piano for primer then painted the first coat. I’ve had this piano for so long, so I think I was putting it off. I wanted to be sure I was making the right decision. Sometimes you’ve just got to go for it, so I did. I’m still not 100% sure on the color but I’m headed to get samples this week!
I also had time to slap a coat of paint on the piano wall. I plan on doing some cool custom art above the piano but more about that later!
That’s all for the dreamy guest room this week! Progress is still progress, right? Things have calmed down a little on the farm so I’m hoping to really start knocking things out for week 5!
I’m heading to get lumber to start on the platform bed build next week. I’m really excited about that. It’s the most involved building project for the room so hopefully after that’s out of the way things will gain more momentum.
