Dreamy Guest Room – One Room Challenge Week 3

We’re fresh off vacation and it’s week three of the One Room Challenge. This week for the Dreamy Guest Room, I had just enough time after we got home to install the new light fixture and start customizing the pendant lights.

New Ceiling Light:

The ceiling light fixture was the first purchase I made for this ORC room. Originally, I was going to do a “Daisy” theme but after finding some gorgeous cloud wallpaper I pivoted to “Dreamy Guest Room.” Luckily, the light fixture still paired well with the new theme. The light fixture before was just your standard glass boob light and I had already removed the glass cover because it made the room so dark.

Isn’t the new light so fun? It’s giving me boho glam vibes. I love all the shadows it casts on the ceiling when it is turned on.

Pendant Lights:

I found two pendant lights on the clearance aisle at Walmart for $16 each! They weren’t my original plan, but you know I couldn’t pass up that deal. They were silver though and I need them to be gold so I decided I would just spray paint them, easy fix. So far that’s going well. The plan is to put them on either side of the bed.

Well, that’s really it for this week. I’m just happy that I got something accomplished at all! I keep repeating “slow and steady wins the race” in my head. I’m going to have to kick things into high gear though after week four though. Hopefully, I’ll have more info on the wallpaper by next week and I can share that with you. I hope you love it as much as I do because I am obsessed.

P.S.-The turned wood bed legs I ordered from Etsy arrived Saturday and they are perfect! Now it’s time to draw up some build plans and go get some lumber.
